8/14 Stewardship as Worship
A short recap of today follows:
TOPIC: Stewardship as Worship
We discussed how God has entrusted various things to us – to be good stewards in these areas. Additionally we discussed how we are to be good stewards of the relationships with those we are connected with – people stewardship (see John chapter 21).
Document links are as follows:
1. Stewardship as Worship – document used this morning to lay the foundation for our discussion
2. How to Effectively Memorize Scripture – On page 3 we are looking at letter “A” verses that every Christian should know. We will go right down the list and memorize according to topic. We will memorize three verses per week (Set I, II, and III).
3. The Word – Commanded to learn (this week’s verses formatted for printing on notecards)
A. We are using Avery Standard, 5395, Name Badge for these docs in case you want to print these off and place them on 3 X 5 cards, coffee mugs, bathroom mirrors, (etc.)
B. You can place the verse on the front side (3 X 5 card) and the notes on the back side if you choose
ACTION STEPS:
I encourage you to continue to post your thoughts and share what God is teaching you as you read through these verses and meditate on them. I want to encourage you to follow-up to our time together with an action step in each of the following areas.
1. Begin memorizing our three Scriptures tomorrow and share with us next week how you went about doing this and successfully memorizing all three by next week.
2. Post a comment on the blog this week – at least one.
Looking forward to studying with each of you and reading your comments on the blog.
Richard will be leading us next week.
It looks good to have all of the stuff up. Great job guys!
Hey guys, These verses speak to me about needing my daily bread through the word of God. Meditating on it day and night. Colossians 3:17 reminds me of what we talked about last Thursday. Stewerdship as worship. Do all as doing for the Lord Jesus. I hope everyone is having a good week and look forward to Thurs. -Wes
